Incredible Document Collection
This is one of the most incredible collections of documents I have ever seen. There are a huge number of items – over 2 kilo in weight. Hundreds of pages.
Such a complete collection was never been offered before!!
The documents all relate to a German father and his sons. The father served in both World War I and World War II and two sons served in World War II. One was in the Luftwaffe and other was in the Artillery – both were KIA. There is also a 3rd son who did not serve in the military..
The documents include the complete military history of all, plus the family history back to the late 1800’s. There are letters, awards & decorations documents, logbooks, bank books, and so much more it is difficult to list. Included is everything from birth to the receipt for grave headstones.
I am trying to put together an inventory, but that will take some time. All were carefully preserved and are in pristine condition. The box containing this huge collection has been sealed and stored since the mid 1950's.
Some of the documents are signed by high ranking military notables.
The condition of these documents, especially the Luftwaffe documents, is amazing. No holes, tears, heavy folds, etc.
